Omaha - Omaha High-Low Split

Omaha is an exciting, action oriented variation of the popular game Texas
Hold'em. This game can be played as Limit, Pot-Limit, and even sometimes No-Limit. Omaha is also widely played as a High-Low split game, where players split the pot between the highest and lowest hands. With the a similar setup and game play of Texas Hold'em, Omaha is also an easy game to learn and enjoy.
Setup
As with Texas Hold'em, Omaha is started with one player becoming the dealer, and the two players to the left of the dealer becoming the small and big blinds. For clarification of Omaha setup before the deal please see Texas Hold'em setup.
The dealer now gives players their hole cards, starting with the small blind in a clockwise order. The difference from Texas Hold’em is that each player now receives four hole cards face down instead of two.
Just like in Texas Hold'em, there is a flop, turn, and river used as community cards. Omaha is different because players must use exactly two hole cards and three community cards to make there best 5 card poker hand. Players may not use the board to make there best five card hands.
High-Low Split
In a Omaha High-Low Split, the pot is split by the highest five card hand and lowest five card hand. To win the high portion of the pot, the rules are the same for regular Omaha. You must use two or your hole cards and three community cards to make the best five card hand. To win the Low portion of the pot, you must make the lowest hand possible using two of your hole cards and three community cards. One rule is that the board must have three community cards with an 8 or lower in order for a low hand qualifier. If the board does not have three cards with an 8 and lower, only the highest hand will win the pot. An ace is the lowest card in Omaha High-Low Split.
